General Conference


The General Conference coordinates the global ministry of the Seventh-day Adventists, a body set up under the belief that no man should be governed by the judgment of another, and any decision should be made by an assembly. The General Conference is responsible for the spiritual and developmental plans of the church around the world.

The General Conference building is open to the general public for one daily tour at 9 a.m., Monday through Thursday. The free 45-minute building tour explains the current activities of the church headquarters and several of its organizations, as well as artifacts and exhibits throughout the building.
